NormanandCharlotte Areas and need some Savvy Tips, here are 5 tips for the interior of your home to help your home sell this Spring.

1) Caulk, Caulk and More Caulk: Be sure to check all of the caulking in your home from bathrooms to doors to windows. You want to make sure your home is in tip top condition when buyers come in and this is an easy way to spruce up the interior of your home.

2) Switch Those Grimy Filters:Make sure you have the eyes of a buyer going through your home. You want to switch out those air filters because they look bad and also they hurt the efficiency of your air conditioning systems. You want to make sure you are appealing to the buyer but also keeping your costs down.

3) Deep Clean Carpets and Floors:This is something I am at fault for not doing enough. You want to make sure your floors and carpets are sparkling and looking new when buyers come through your home. Make sure you do a deep clean before going on the market, buyers do notice dirty floors and carpet.

4) Smoke Detectors, CO Detectors and Fire Alarms: Make sure you have some back up batteries around, there is nothing worse than a beeping smoke detector. Make sure before you put your home on the market that all of your detectors are working accordingly, if not, replace before you list!

5) Declutter: I saved the best tip for last! Make sure that you purge and give away before listing your home. You want to make sure anything you are not using is put up or given away. Make sure your counters are clean and bare, less is more ! You want to make sure you are not shoving everything you own in your closet or garage, buyers like to see the space they are buying..not your stuff. Make sure you take the time to do this step, it’s always easier to shove in a closet but you might be doing yourself and your home a disservice.
