Why not take them to the Noon Year’s Eve Party at Northlake Mall! Festivities start at 10:30am and include games, arts and crafts and music by Mr. Nigel. At noon the kids will count down and a balloon drop will mark the ‘new’ year.
Sparkle and Glow New Year’s Eve
Not sure what to do with the kids this New Year’s Eve? Want to make it a fun night but not sure you can all make it to actually ring in the New Year at midnight? Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens has a Sparkle and Glow New Year’s Eve party from 6pm – 9pm. Enjoy learning about New Year traditions from around the world while enjoying live music, food trucks and wine tasting for mom and dad. Guests will receive mason glow jars and can follow the luminary path. Carriage rides are available for an additional fee.
New Year’s Eve Campfire
The Latta Plantation Nature Center is hosting a New Year’s Eve campfire from 1:30pm-4pm on the 31st. Bring a chair and blanket, cozy up next to the fire and roast some marshmallows! They’ll be a variety of games and activities throughout the afternoon for the kids to enjoy. Admission is free grab your friends and enjoy the day!
Charlotte New Year’s Eve Celebration
If you are looking for a family friendly event that will actually ring in 2017, the Charlotte New Year’s Eve Celebration starts at 8pm uptown at Romare Bearden Park. There’s lots of music, food and Crown Town, which is an opportunity for all spectators to decorate their own crown to wear! At midnight don’t miss an amazing display of fireworks.
