While the holidays are a wonderful time to catch up with family they can also be a bit hectic.  Hopefully by now your visitors have left and you can stop and catch your breathe.  A great way to relax and unwind is to visit one (or several) Lake Norman breweries.  They all offer a great atmosphere and tasty libations.

Ghostface Brewing

If you are looking for a great place to grab a beer or have dinner, definitely try out Ghostface Brewing in Mooresville.  The taproom is open Tuesday through Sunday and usually has about twenty different beers on tap.  The majority of them are Ghostface but they do have ciders and guest brews as well.  Courtesy of Davidson Pizza Company, the menu options ranges from salads and appetizers to pizza and other Italian favorites.

Lake Norman Brewing Company

Lake Norman Brewing Company was voted the best brewery by readers of Lake Norman publications in 2015.  Also located in Mooresville, the taproom is open Wednesdays through Saturday.  There are usually about eight different beers on tap and the selection is based on what’s available at the time.  Small batch breweries can’t keep all beers on tap at all times but Lake Norman Brewing Company does a good job of keeping different beer types available at all times.

D9 Brewing Company

D9 Brewing Company is located in Cornelius and the taproom is open seven days a week.  Usually serving about ten different brews at a time, D9 also does a good job of trying to offer something for all beer tastes.  Whether you’re into the IPAs or Ales, you can find something worth wild at D9.

Don’t let yourself get overwhelmed by all the options!  You can always Visit Lake Norman for more information and a beer and wine trail map!  While not all breweries offer a full menu like Ghostface, they are all available for outings and parties.  Planning a birthday or engagement party?  Why not switch it up and support a local business!
