Charlotte Mecklenburg Utility officials plan to use two devices , one being tested in River Run, another being tested in The Peninsula to see which more is more accurate with water readings. By the end of the month, Charlotte Mecklenburg Utility will plant about 350 devices at randomly selected homes in The Peninsula and compare these devices to the ones already in place at River Run in Davidson. This will help officials to see which devices are better for homeowners and help to assure homeowners that they are not being charged for faulty water readings.
